The active ingredient of Hübner Original Silicea Gastro-Intestinal Gel is silica gel (silicic acid gel), a compound made up of the mineral silicon (Si) with oxygen and water. Silica gel has an unusual high bonding capacity not only for pathogens and their toxins but also for gases. Thus it can also reduce annoying flatulence. This means that gases, pathogens and their toxins are bound by a purely physical process in the gastrointestinal tract and excreted naturally by the intestine. It soothes the symptoms and supports the regeneration of the upset gastrointestinal tract.
For the internal treatment of acute gastrointestinal complaints associated with stomach aches, nausea, vomiting, flatulence and diarrhoea: Children and adults should take 2 sachets, at 15 ml each, 3–5 times a day directly or diluted in water or tea between meals and if required immediately before bedtime. When acute symptoms have eased, treatment can be continued for a few days by taking 1 sachet (15 ml) 3 times a day.
Recommended for long-term use up to 6 weeks in case of chronic gastrointestinal complaints like nausea, flatulence, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, vomiting or heartburn: Adults should take 1 sachet (15 ml) directly or diluted in water or tea 3 times a day on an empty stomach or between meals. We recommend a treatment course of up to 6 weeks; symptoms should improve after 3 weeks.
In consultation with your doctor please take your medication at least 2 hours before or after taking Hübner Original Silicea Gastro-Intestinal DIRECT, as it may influence the effect of the medication. In case of severe pains, high fever or if the treatment has not proved effective after 3 days, please consult a doctor. Keep out of reach and sight of children.
